Students gain confidence in Poetry and Prose event

The Tulare County Office of Education held its 27th Annual Poetry and Prose event.

More than 1,000 elementary and middle school students from across Tulare County performed poems in front of an audience.

Educators say the event promotes self-esteem by helping children feel confident about public speaking.

Each student received an achievement award for participating in the poetry event.
