Rowling ruled out the electronic format for years. But this weekend, the author's agent, Neil Blair, said she is actively looking at all options for launching the seven "/*Harry Potter*/" books in the e-book market.
About 450 million copies of the "Harry Potter" books have been sold worldwide. Rowling has allowed digital audio downloads, but is one of the most famous authors who have stayed away from the e-book market
Some reports say Rowling is holding out because she is concerned about piracy issues. However, Blair said Rowling has been watching the developing market and waiting for the right moment to release her books in that format.
Experts say by releasing the iconic series in e-book format, Rowling could net more than $100 million.
