Merced City College cuts classes

Nearly 300 class sections are being cut from Merced College's schedules as it faces a $4.5 million budget shortfall.

The school is cutting 55 sections from the Summer schedule, 123 sections from the Fall schedule and 100 sections from the Spring 2012 schedule, which will make it more difficult for students to get into classes.
