The couple in their eighties didn't want to be identified. They say at least one burglar came into their house early Saturday morning while they slept and stole some expensive silverware, and antique collectibles from a chest that's been in the family for 130-years.
With warmer weather on the way, the sheriff's department is warning people against leaving windows and doors open to cool off. In this case, the victim believes her husband left the back door unlocked. The sheriff's department says they've seen a recent rise in so-called "hot prowl" burglaries.
