16-year-old John Lara was hospitalized last October - after getting hit during a football game. He underwent several surgeries, and spent more than two months in the hospital.
Doctors initially told his family -- if he were to survive, he wouldn't go back to school. Friends say having him on back campus now is a miracle.
Clovis North's principal tells Action News, right now, John attends classes only part of the day and that they've provided him with a personal tutor.
