The female driver of a black sedan got out just before a Union Pacific train hit her. It ended up dragging the car more than a hundred yards. She was treated for minor injuries and taken to the hospital. CHP officers say the lost control after somehow passing out for an unknown reason.

Oddly enough officers responded to another crash just minutes before the train accident two miles north on Highway 99.

They say the driver of a white SUV lost control and flipped over, landing just inches from the tracks. The train narrowly missed it before hitting the other woman.

Madera County firefighters had to use the 'Jaws of Life' to get the male driver and female passenger out from the car. They were also taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

The CHP says alcohol was not a factor in either accident.
