Gay and lesbian community protests Chick-fil-A in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif.

They say the chicken restaurant is giving money to several organizations that discriminate against homosexuals.

Members of "Get Equal" protested outside the restaurnt in North Fresno Friday morning.

It's part of a nationwide protest against Chick-fil-A.

Protestors claim the fast food chain's has donated over a million dollars to anti-gay organizations since its formation in 1984.

Chick-fil-A issued a response Friday afternoon saying, "we have no agenda against anyone. Instead, we have a 65-year history of providing hospitality for all people regardless of their beliefs or opinions. We will not champion any political agendas on marriage and family. We will, however, continue to offer resources to strengthen marriages and families."
