Zito overpowers Salt Lake in final Fresno start

FRESNO, Calif.

"Yeah it felt good," said Zito after the game. "The goal was to go out there and get over 100 pitches and we did that tonight. The boys played great 'D and [we hit] a couple solo homers.

"[The crowd] was firing me up. They sounded a lot louder than how many people were out there tonight. So yeah, they definitely had a lot to do with me getting that last one because it was my last hitter

Up next for Zito: Not even the left hander knows. He told Action News after the game that he would love to rejoin the Giants as soon as possible. But he doesn't know when that will be, or what his role will be, when he returns to San Francisco.
