Investigators arrested 29-year-old David Lacrue after finding him parked on a street, asleep in his car, which they say was filled with stolen property.

Inside the car they found a woman's purse, digital camera, bags of clothing and more, hundreds of dollars in items.

Investigators believe Lacrue had spent the night of July 4th breaking into three cars on three different parts of town.

Sgt. Candido Alvarez said, "He had numerous burglary tools including a bolt cutter and a large screw driver which are both commonly used for thefts but particularly the large screwdriver to bust locks or smash windows."

Now police are looking into whether Lacrue is responsible for more car burglaries in the city and will be looking at surveillance video from unsolved car burglaries.
