Authorities say it began with a car-jacking in the area of Saginaw and Effie and came to a crashing end downtown at Santa Clara and C Street.
The stolen car sustained serious damage. Officers say the man responsible took the vehicle from a female victim. He was pulled over several minutes later, after the stolen car collided with a white truck driven by a plain-clothes officer. No one was injured in the collision.
