There is still plenty of uncertainty surrounding the food bank.

Madera Food Bank board members admitted that the closure sign posted on the door was misleading. They said the office was temporarily shut down Thursday, but the distribution center was still open.

Friday, The food bank allowed Action News inside their warehouse to show shelves stocked with food and delivery trucks being loaded. They said 664 boxes were distributed Friday to places such as Raymond, Coarsegold, and Oakhurst.

Board members remained tight-lipped regarding the closure of the office. They said the office was back open Friday and that "a decision would be made soon."

"We have some issues that have to be dealt with, and at that point... we will be able to answer your questions," said Dino Petrucci with the Madera Food Bank.

Action News has learned that communication has taken place with the Fresno Food Bank regarding assistance with the Madera Food Bank. The board also acknowledged that someone in the office did put up the temporary closure sign.

At this point, it appears the people this community food bank serves will get their food on time.
