Jarred Dubois had a probation hearing Tuesday morning.
The judge did not state why he denied him bail, but it didn't take long for him to make a decision.
Dubois was arrested for violating probation earlier this month when investigators found more than 30 rounds of ammunition in his house.
After pleading guilty to a felony in connection with his stepdaughter's death, he was banned from owning any weapons or firearms.
Dubois faces up to six years in jail.
