William Peck is a native of Illinois and has been portraying Abraham Lincoln since 1981. Monday's visit was in preparation for a student field trip to the Civil War re-enactment at Kearney Park.
"It's come alive. It's not a book, it's not a page in black and white. It's the living Lincoln who's standing there and giving them the actual history of the Civil War," said Peck.
Peck also portrays Abraham Lincoln in Memorial Day services and parades. He will be taking part in Fresno County's Civil War re-enactment this weekend at Kearney Park.
