Clovis will be the end of stage four of the race next May which starts in Sonora.
The AMGEN Tour Of California made the announcement on its website Thursday morning. The Sonora route was chosen after National Park Service officials denied a request by the bicycle tour to have one leg of the race start in Yosemite Valley.
The specific route will not be announced until early next year. Clovis last hosted part of the race in 2009.
