The crash happened yesterday afternoon on Highway 140 near Midpines.
The Highway Patrol says the driver of a SUV failed to stay in her lane and hit the motorcycle head-on.
The driver of the motorcycle died. His name has not been released, but Action News has learned that he was a 67-year-old man from Midpines.
The driver and a passenger in the SUV were not injured.
