It happened around 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the area of Clara and Kaviland.
Investigators say they got a report of a shooting victim. When the arrived, they found the victim in a field.
Sergeant Richard Brown said the victim had been shot more than once, but he is expected to survive. "Right now it looks like there was some type of disturbance involving 3 subjects total in the field and at this time its ongoing."
At this point, police haven't determined if the shooting was gang related.
