"I'm going to change it," said Hill. "We're going to get back to good hard-nosed practices and good tough fundamentals, more contact and this football team is going to improve."
Coach Hill accepted full blame for Fresno State's loss, and said he understands the Red Wave's growing displeasure with their football team.
"As the head coach you've got to take a leadership position," said Hill. "You've got a lot of kids wondering whose fault is it, what's fault is it. Pointing fingers, things like that. I'm not going to have that.
"I told them all, 'You can all point them at me.' You can all point them at me. The players can all point them at me. I'm changing it. I'm going to change how we do things. Whether we win or lose doesn't concern me right now. We're going to get better as a football team."
And with Saturday's road matchup at New Mexico State now on the horizon, we can expect to see a new-look Bulldog team hungry to get back into the win column, especially facing an Aggie squad reeling after at 63-17 blowout loss at Georgia.
"We've got to put together more time together, and we've got to put more tough situations in them," said Hill. "We've got to harden ourselves a little bit. We've got to harden our football team. And that's one of the things we can really get out of it."
Kickoff for Saturday night's WAC matchup is set for 5:00 Pacific, and will be televised by the WAC Sports Network.
