Search called off for hikers swept over falls at Yosemite

FRESNO, Calif.

/*Ramina Badal*/, 27, /*Ninos Yacoub*/, 27, both of Turlock, and /*Hormiz David*/, 22, of Modesto, were swept over the 317 foot Vernal Fall last July after stepping into the Merced River to pose for a photograph.

David's body was found a month later... trapped under a rock at the bottom of the fall.

The start of the rain and snow season in the park has begun to swell the Merced River, which means that the opportunity to find the bodies likely has passed until next summer.
