A 1999 Chevy Blazer was restored by nine different auto shops. Everything was refurbished, from the interior, exterior, and under the hood. It cost about four-thousand dollars for the project. The mechanics will select a deserving family in need of a vehicle. It's all part of a nationwide "Wheels for Hope" program sponsored by "Napa Autocare Centers."
"We don't want to shoulder them with a burden," said Rusty Rasmussen. "But somebody that needs transportation but has the means of maintaining it. Registering it. Insuring it."
The deadline to nominate a deserving family is this Friday.
