Gunman kills 2 in SoCal office building, then shoots self

Authorities said a gunman killed two people and wounded two others inside an Irwindale office building that houses Southern California Edison on Friday. He then took his own life, according to Irwindale Police Chief Dennis Smith.

Authorities responded to the shooting in the 4900 block of Rivergrade Road at about 2 p.m.

Three people were declared dead at the scene, including the gunman, and two other people were rushed to local hospitals.

Authorities evacuated the employees in the building. Dozens of people were seen streaming out of the building with their hands raised.

Olive Middle School Walnut Elementary School in the Baldwin Park Unified School District was put on lockdown, but the lockdowns have since been lifted.
