Jan. 4 AM Live Ag Report

FRESNO, Calif.

Ag officials say mango exports from India to the United States are down 13 percent, and Pakistani exporters are benefiting.

Ag experts say a major hurdle is that only one facility in India has the approval of the U.S. Ag Department.

Because of that, India is adding surcharges and taxes to the cost of mangoes.

Pakistani mangoes, on the other hand, cost 25 to 30 percent less than Indian varieties.
