2 Valley players named to PARADE's All-American HS Football Team

FRESNO, Calif.

Every year, the PARADE Magazine partners with Sporting News to choose 53 seniors, from around the U.S., whose on-the-field performances represent the best of high school football.

According to PARADE, more than a dozen former PARADE All-American's have won the Heisman Trophy and many go on to become stars in the NFL. Some of these include Emmitt Smith, Dan Marino, Joe Montana, John Elway, Earl Campbell, Peyton Manning, and Frank Gore.

The four other players from California to be named this year are Arik Armstead, a 6'8", 290-pound offensive lineman from Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove; Shaq Thompson, a 6'2", 210-pound defensive back from Grant Union High School in Sacramento; Bryce Treggs, a 6'1", 170-pound wide receiver from St. John Bosco in Bellflower, and Kyle Kelley, a 6'3", 230-pound defensive lineman from Woodbridge High School in Irvine.
