Police say the driver simply didn't see the woman as she stepped off the median to cross the road with her bicycle.
Investigators say it appears the woman did not have any broken bones. She was breathing, but unresponsive when she was rushed to the hospital.
"The driver of the blue vehicle was interviewed and found to be validly licensed and not under the influence," said Sgt. Richard Dejong. "He had insurance, this is just an unfortunate situation."
The condition of the woman who was run over -- is not known yet.
