Lost Lake Park in Fresno County is now open following a two-and-a-half month closure after a powerful windstorm damaged the area late last year.
Going fishing is in Robin King's blood.
"Fishing is kind of a family lifestyle, my grandfather fished, my father fished, my brother fished, I fish," King said.
The Fresno native checks in at Lost Lake Park a couple of times a week in the hopes of reeling in trout.
King is delighted the park is finally back open, despite the drone of saws in the background.
December's storm split trees all over the area.
"The trees were just... and it was a really big mess, branches everywhere and it was a really big mess," King said.
Even though the park is now open, there is plenty of work ahead.
"We had over 250 trees that received some kind of damage. We have over 80 mature trees that fell. They had to be completely removed," County Parks Supervisor Manuel Diaz said.

Volunteers chipped in to help clear the debris.
Staff members say they are grateful to everyone who helped clean up lost lake but with steep budget cuts they rely more than ever on volunteers to keep the park clean
"We lost two thirds of our employees who used to be at Lost Lake Park," Diaz said.
On the president's day holiday, the McCraw family was among the first few who got a chance to enjoy the scenery.
"It's only five bucks to get in and it's fun. The kids have a good time," Jason McCraw said.
"The parks are so important to people because of the way the economy is. People don't have the funds to go to areas far from Fresno," Diaz said.
The park's campgrounds remain closed until repairs are complete.
Park employees are still looking for volunteers to help clear the nature trail.
