This weekend's Engineers at the Mall event wraps up national engineers week, which celebrates the contributions made by engineers.
Saturday and Sunday, students and community members are participating in hands-on activities -- educating people about the many careers available in engineering and construction management.
"It's for students and people that love hands-on, to design things, to build, to construct. You name it, anything that's around us in society is touched by engineering," said Hernan Maldonado with Lyles College of Engineering.
Maldonado says careers in engineering are not only in high demand, but also offer good pay. The Engineer's at the Mall event continues Sunday at Sierra Vista Mall.
