A new study shows people are focusing on price and value when they decide whether or not to purchase meat.

Many say they're pre-planning their shopping trips and buying around promotions.

Chicken and beef are still the largest share of meat purchases.

Corn harvest in the United States is set to break a record.

According to the government, production of corn may jump 15 percent this year to over 14-billion bushels. That's the most since World War II.

Domestic corn inventories are also expected to rebound from a 16 year low.

The corn production may also help soybean and wheat output this year.
