Fresno teen celebrates his leap year birthday

FRESNO, Calif.

The family of Bullard High School student Joseph Pichardo celebrated his birthday at his favorite local restaurant Wednesday night. He was the first leap year baby born at Saint Agnes Hospital in 1996.

You could say he's only four now.

Action News photographer Richard Harmelink asked Joseph the obvious question about his birthday. "Does it suck having your birthday every four years?"

Joseph: "Yeah, it does actually"

Richard: "Why?"

Joseph: "Cause I don't have real birthday."

Joseph may not like it, but his family thinks he's special.
