Power Soccer tournament held in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif.

The Central Valley Ghostriderz hosted a power soccer tournament at St. Anthony's School, and several teams from Northern California traveled to Fresno to compete.

Power soccer was developed specifically for people in electric wheelchairs, and the rules are very similar to traditional outdoor soccer.

"We play with men or women and they have a variety of disabilities, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy. Various types of diagnosis," said Nikki Corell with Central Valley Ghostriderz.

The Central Valley Ghostriderz is registered with the United States Power Soccer Association. The local team has only been around for a couple of years, and is open to anyone over the age of 10.
