Dream Act March -- from San Francisco to Washington D.C.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.

The group gathered on the Golden Gate Bridge Saturday as they make their way from California to the nation's capital.

The marchers describe themselves as undocumented and unafraid. They want the passage of the dream act, so young illegal immigrants who go to college or join the military have a chance at gaining legal status.

One of the marchers has been in the U.S. Since the age of one. "Brazil is completely foreign to me, I don't know the culture or customs. This is what I'm used to this is my home and I just want an opportunity to be able to work here and to be able to contribute," said marcher Lucas De Silva.

The group plans to wind up their walk in Washington in October. Along the way, they're inviting opponents of the measure to join in on the dialogue -- hoping to change their minds.
