Fresno man mistakenly let out of jail turns himself in

FRESNO, Calif.

Deputies say 35-year-old /*Timothy Van*/ was released Tuesday, but turned himself in Wednesday night at the Poverello House near Downtown Fresno. Van had been jailed on domestic violence charges in Clovis.

The sheriff's office is still looking for 25-year-old /*Paul Prieto*/. He is a potential third striker facing 151 years to life on an armed robbery charge in Parlier.

The sheriff's department attributes their releases to human error. /*Jail Captain Rick Hill*/ says the jail staff is overworked - sometimes spending as long as 16 hours a day on the job -- but says they have a pretty good track record.
