Annual Children's Easter party at the Poverello House

FRESNO, Calif.

The Poverello's Amici Guild hosted its annual Children's Easter Party on Saturday, complete with fun, games, and a visit from the top rabbit.

The guild raises money specifically for celebrations like this, but this year -- they got help from some young children.

"This year we had a group of four 3rd graders who donated the money to benefit this party. They raised funds by doing yard sales and recycling and all sorts of pennies for pov -- and they generated just under $2,400 for this event," said Kathryn Weakland with the Poverello House.

Those four girls are all third graders at Riverview Elementary, and raised the money as a project for 'Destination Imagination.' They named their team 'Girls Can Change The World.'
