Investigators say a child may be to blame for a fire that damaged a duplex last night in Southeast Fresno. Cell-phone video taken by a neighbor shows the flames. A mother who lives in one of the units says her children were trying to light something on fire outside. No one was hurt.

Shooting in Northwest Fresno injures one
Police are looking for the gunman in a Northwest Fresno shooting, near Pontiac Way and Marks last night. A 59-year-old man was shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made.

School officials in Selma are looking into a scam, in which young people are posing as student athletes and asking for cash donations or checks. Selma Unified officials say students do no not ask for cash donations.
