The fire broke out around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning at a home on Fig Avenue between Lincoln and Clayton.
Authorities say two people were inside the home when the fire broke out but they made it out without any injuries. Fire officials say the house is heavily damaged.
Authorities also say the high winds made it hard for them to contain the fire at first, but they were able to put it out in about two hours.
