One dead, one injured in two Tulare shootings

TULARE, Calif.

A murder is under investigation in the South Valley. Police say they a 23-year-old man was shot and killed on King Street and "A" Street in Tulare around 8 p.m. Wednesday night. Officers found the man on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Tulare Police say they arrested at least one person in connection to the shooting. The identities of the victim and suspect have not been released.

Also in Tulare, Police are investigating another shooting that sent one man to the hospital. Authorities say a 35-year-old man was shot right before 10 p.m. Wednesday night on West Owens near Larkin Street. Tulare Police say the man was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where he had to undergo surgery. His condition has not yet been released.

Police have not made any arrests in the shooting. Tulare police do not think the two shootings are related.
