Fresno man prepares for the Eye Q California Classic

FRESNO, Calif.

Jonathan Newhall is an avid cyclist who says he's put about 4,000 miles on his bike in the last four years. He says he's been doing 125 to 150 miles a week to prepare for the 100 mile trek next Saturday. But it's the running portion that will be the biggest challenge.

"It's my first time running a half marathon so my goal is to just finish it. I won't have any spectacular times, that's for sure -- But it will be good to get out there and get it done," said Newhall.

Cyclists will ride on Highway 168 for part of Saturday's journey, and runners will go through Fresno's Chaffee Zoo on Sunday.
