Broccoli surplus causes prices to drop

FRESNO, Calif.

Agriculture experts say favorable weather has led to large supplies of broccoli across California. The large supplies are driving prices down.

Broccoli farmers say they're producing more supplies than they can sell. Right now prices are $7-dollars a case, but growers typically need to sell it for $9-dollars to make a profit. Growers say it's tough to make money with broccoli unless there's a shortage.
