Police pulled the man over on Cedar and Shaw in Northeast Fresno. They say the suspect was driving at night with his lights off. According to police, the man is on probation so they searched his truck. Officers say they found a lockbox in the bed of the truck. Inside that box were four loaded hand guns.
"Since the suspect is a convicted ex-felon it is illegal for him to be in possession of any weapons at all," said Sgt. Brian Phillips with the Fresno Police Department.
Police are investigating if the guns were stolen. Officers say they are not registered to the suspect.
Police say the man is on probation for a cruelty to a child conviction.
