California to vote on processed food labeling

FRESNO, Calif.

Advocates collected more than half a million signatures supporting the stronger labeling requirements, and the Secretary of State has now certified the measure for the November ballot. Opponents argue the move would cost too much.

If the measure is approved, companies will be forced to label thousands of grocery products and ban the advertising of processed crops as "natural".
