Kids bike camp kicks off in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif.

The first 100 kids to register for Tony Hoffman's Freewheel Project on Monday will have the chance to get a free $300 BMX bike if they end the camp with perfect attendence and comply with camp rules until August 13.

Hoffman said he agreed to give away the bikes if he got 100 kids to sign up for the Project.

Hoffman says BMX riding is one way to give kids confidence and a positive outlet.

The camp is free and Hoffman says kids are still able to come and participate in the program, though any newcomers will not be able to earn a bicycle.
