Board members are working to adjust the set of rules already set for cantaloupe growing. The board also plans on putting together a committee that will inspect the changes to make sure they comply with the U.S. Department Of Agriculture standards.
The audits will start this season in the San Joaquin Valley and will later expand to other parts of the state.
