Fresno braided ramps project open house

FRESNO, Calif.

The project is located along Freeway 180 between Freeways 41 and 168 in Fresno. The $49-million dollar project will help reduce traffic congestion and improve safety within freeway-to-freeway interchanges.

The California Department of Transportation held an open house Thursday afternoon at Hildalgo Elementary School in Central Fresno. The public was invited to learn about the project and ask questions.

A Caltrans study in 2010 found nearly 240 accidents happened over a three-year period on that stretch of the 180.
