Action News caught up with several families as they shopped for fireworks in Northeast Fresno.
That stand benefits the Make a Wish Foundation, and proceeds will be used to grant wishes to children with life threatening illnesses.
"We had a young boy yesterday and he said that's just why he came. He was here to help other kids that were sick. He wanted to help them," Susan Disney of Make a Wish said.
Firework sales continue through July 4. Make a Wish volunteers are hoping to be able to grant at least two wishes with money made this year.
