Valley grower to pay sexual harassment lawsuit

FRESNO, Calif.

Giumarra Vineyards, one of the country's largest grape growers is based in the Kern County town of Edison.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says a 17-year-old farm worker was sexually harassed by a co-worker, but when she and four other workers complained they were fired.

A majority of the settlement will go towards enhancing the company's policies to include training of all 3,000 of its employees on sexual harassment and discrimination.
