Growers are having a tough time hiring enough people to harvest cherries. They have now joined forces with University of California researchers to study different ways to make it easier to harvest and prune trees.
One of the solutions is reducing the size of cherry trees so they can be picked without a ladder, while maintaining the same quantity and quality.
