Farmers in the region use the Central Valley Aquifer for irrigation. But according to a new study, if they continue to use it at the current rate, the aquifer will become unsustainable -- even if we receive a lot of rain in the coming years.
The report says agriculture will be greatly affected if this continues, claiming the Central Valley's crop output may look different in years to come.
