The awards ceremony for the first annual "iCan Tri" youth triathlon at the Clovis North Educational Center.
About 170 kids, ages 6 to 17, competed in the three activities - swimming, biking, and running.
The lengths of each event were different based on age groups.
Organizers say it was a great turnout for this inaugural competition.
"We had seasoned triathletes come from different part of California to this venue to race and we had a lot of first timers so it was a great mix of newbies and experienced triathletes," iCan Junior Triathlon Club founder Todd Waldner said.
"It was great, I felt really good at everything I did," Chloe Waldner said.
The event also had a water zone to help keep the athletes cool and it started early Sunday morning, before temperatures climbed into the triple digits.
