1) Tropical Storm Isaac heads to New Orleans
Tropical Storm Isaac continues to churn in the Gulf with a direct path towards New Orleans. Isaac could reach hurricane strength tonight and could bring with it more than a foot of rain and a huge storm surge.


2) Republican National Convention set to begin in Tampa
Activities will begin in the Republican National Convention in Tampa. Mitt Romney will arrive in Florida later today and his wife, Ann Romney gives the day's major speech.


3) Double homicide may be tied to marijuana grow
Federal Agents are joining Fresno County Deputies at the scene of a double homicide that may be tied to a marijuana grow found at the back of the property. One arrest has been made in the double homicide, and deputies still looking for another suspect.


4) Arson suspected in series of Visalia fires
South Valley fire officials investigating a string of fires that may be arson. Very little damage was done and no injuries reported in the fires, but they were all set around the same time and all near each other.


5) Burglaries plague Old Town Clovis businesses
Old Town Clovis business owners will meet later today to discuss beefing up security after another attempted break in when someone smashed a window at Jackson Jewelers. Police arrived before anything was taken.
