According to a park spokesperson, the latest case, sickened a California resident. It's believed to have originated in one of Curry Village's signature tent cabins in early July. That person has since recovered.
The latest case differs from the others in that it was considered a "hantavirus infection," officials said. The eight other cases developed into the full-fledged hantavirus pulmonary syndrome.
