Mutton Bustin': the toughest sport on wool

FRESNO, Calif.

Kids throughout the Central Valley have been eagerly waiting a whole year to get their next six seconds of glory. That time has finally come!

The Big Fresno Fair is proud to be the official home of the 2012 wool warriors world finals after wildly successful stints at the Big Fresno Fair dating back to 2009.

Mutton Bustin' is located next to the World Discovery exhibit. This extreme sport challenges children three to six years old to ride a sheep for six seconds. If they are successful, they receive a score like a bull rider and each winner has a chance to compete in the championship round.

The young riders are taught the value of safety, confidence and sportsmanship, all while having a great time! This is sure to be one show that the entire family can enjoy as they experience all of the entertainment and thrills of the "toughest sport on wool."

Be sure to stop by and see the Mutton Bustin' excitement every day of the fair, plus come to the world finals on Saturday, October 13 at 7 p.m.!
