Political posts on Facebook upping 'unfriending'

FRESNO, California

Twitter announced it had broken records, with more than 31 million election-related tweets Tuesday night, making it the most tweeted about event in US political history.

And while some of your relatives and closest friends may share your views, others may not, and can be outspoken about it.

Nearly one-fifth of people admit to blocking, unfriending or hiding someone on social media over their postings.

That's according to a recent survey by the Pew Research Center's Internet and American Life Project.

Some of the biggest complaints: the offending person posted too often about politics, disagreed with others' updates, or even bothered mutual friends with partisan political postings.

What do you think? Would you or did you unfriend any of your friends over their political postings?
